Philippe Le Moine

He began his theatrical career as Production Manager at Avignon in 1993. In 1996 he joined the Gate Theatre in London and in 1999 set up the East goes West theatre Festival which he produced and directed until 2001. Thereafter he moved across to the National Theatre Studio where he was responsible for international projects. In 2005 he moved to the British Council in Paris as Director of Cultural Projects in France and then, more generally, in Western Europe. In this position he was closely involved with projects and networks at the European level as well as the broader issues of European Cultural Policy. Since 2008 he has been the Director of External Relations for the Avignon Festival. His mission is to develop both institutional and private partnerships at national and international levels.
