Michel Quévit
Michel Quévit is Professor of Regional Development at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) and Managing Director of RIDER II (Regional networks, innovation d Development). He is a specialist in regional development and since the reform of the structural funds in 1991 frequently has been invited to work with the European Commission. He has been closely involved in the elaboration of the current structural funds program (2007 – 2013), notably as the author of the Commission report on the future governance of the Structural Funds after 2006. He has been involved in many structural fund projects and in many transborders and interregional projects with various regions. He also has taken part in the Relais Culture Europe working on issues of culture within the European project.rranean in 1998. He is a founder member of the European SPACE platform – the Platform for the diffusion of the performing arts in Europe.
